When people think about their health, more often than not the only aspect of their life that gets overhauled is their physicality. However, becoming healthy and being healthy isn’t just about diet and exercise; whole body health is comprised of so much more than just physical health!
Kristine Byerley focuses on Occupational Therapy in conjunction with complementary medicine practices and integrative holistic therapies to not heal just one aspect of the body but instead focus on the Whole Person, treating the patient physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Holistic health treatments often incorporate practices like meditation, yoga, acupuncture, and more in conjunction with Western medicine treatments to help treat each patient on a more complete level. Kristine is passionate about the work that she does, and enjoys the opportunity that she has to help others on their journey to holistic health.
In her professional career, Kristine Byerley has become a member of both the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) as well as the Missouri Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA). Through the former, she holds certifications in several areas, including Complementary and Integrative Health, Holistic and Integrative Medicine, and Global Healing Systems. Part of holistic health is healing the spirit, and for most of her life, Kristine has been healing her spirit by volunteering her time. For more than 15 years, Kristine has been collecting supplies to benefit Disaster and Humanitarian Relief, volunteering her time whenever she’s able. Additionally, Kristine has been volunteering with the American Cancer Society in Kansas City since 2008, and for over a decade she’s been the Fundraising Team Captain for the Susan G. Komen Kansas branch.
